Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
If you wish to make enquiries about administrative or non-medical aspects of your treatment, you should contact the Practice Administrator/Deputy. Suggestions, comments and complaints should be directed to the Practice Administrator or the Senior Partner.
The receptionists are there to help you to see your doctor, to give advice about the services available, and to pass on messages to the relevant doctor. You can expect to be treated politely and courteously. We would expect the same. Anyone who is verbally or physically abusive towards staff or doctors will be asked to leave the practice immediately and police / primary care trust will be notified of this.
